We Have Been Busy Little Elves

December 14, 2012 Rosie 3 Comments

We have been so busy working on Christmas Orders. Unfortunately, we have been neglecting our blog once again. I promise to start posting some pictures next week. I will be setting some time aside over the weekend to schedule some posts.

I get help from my daughter and hubby takes over some household chores (shh don't tell anyone). If I didn't have their support and help, I think I would go insane.

Do you track  your orders? We will start doing this in 2013.

We are already getting Valentine's Day requests and I'm happy my customers love our stuff. I say OUR because I don't do this alone.

How  do you stay on top of everything? How do you stay organized while crafting? Any help/advice would be appreciated.

My great niece Mica turned two this year. Her theme was Cowgirl and she also used this as her Halloween costume. Isn't she adorable? We used scrap booking paper to wrap her present and had to put this cute little bear on it. It was so perfect.

Graduation

November 12, 2012 Rosie 5 Comments

This picture is very old; I didn't realize I never posted it. I'm very proud of my daughter and everything she has accomplished. She is one determined young lady. When all the counselors were telling her she couldn't graduate early, she was working hard on proving them wrong. The high school she was going to was relatively new, so she was one of the first 3 to graduate early. She continues to amaze me in everything that she does. She puts all her creative effort into these cards to raise money to pay for her college.

July has been a crazy month for us

July 25, 2012 Rosie 2 Comments

For those of you that have entered the challenge, I have not forgotten about you. My daughter will pick the winners tomorrow and on Wednesday we will notify you which prize you won. Life has been crazy around here for the last 3 weeks. My vacation started being very relaxing then went down hill from there. First our inside AC unit went out; not good with 100 degree weather. Turns out we needed to replace the whole unit. Then, our living room TV went out so we were without AC and no TV for a few days. Of course we have extra TV's but enjoy watching it in the living room. Day 3 of my vacation mother nature decides to rain heavily here in San Antonio, Texas, causing two trees to fall one in the back yard then one in the front yard barely missing my sons car by inches. I called to get trees cut down and put on our front yard since we received a notice we were having yearly brush pick up. It turns out I read the notice wrong; not brush pick up but bulky items pick up. That evening we went to go price TV's and when we arrive home I have a notice I need to remove brush ASAP! I have had to pay to get trees cut, called several people, and finally found someone who said they would come remove it for a decent price. Come Monday morning he never showed up! :( I receive a call later in the day from our city brush collection notice I will be sent a bill since I was in violation. Good thing I made calls on Thursday when I realized I made a mistake and read the notice incorrectly. I call on Sunday letting them know I received notice and will have someone pick it up. My only salvation is they didn't specify a date and time. They are considering waiving the fee; I should find out something in a few weeks. Day 4: I had to reorganize and purge my craft area to accommodate the new window units. I had to get rid of my big desk and get a smaller one. I'm still trying to go through everything; I didn't realize I had so much stuff. By Friday of my vacation I didn't want to get up. All in all it was a pretty stressful week, but I didn't let me get too stressed; I just handled each situation one day at a time. It's all slowly getting back to normal, woo hoo. I also have alot of projects to post on here. It can only get better! -Rosie

Hello Kitty Birthday Challenge

June 26, 2012 Rosie 3 Comments

Greetings Fellow Crafters,
My baby girl will be celebrating  her 19th Birthday on July 18, 2012. With summer being here and kids out of school I know it's hard for many to commit to Blog Hops.

I seriously thought we had our last birthday for last year but she asked her daddy if we were going to have another party and he couldn't say no, LOL.

For one she is the baby of the family and she has done so well with school. I'm very proud of her; she graduated high school at 16.  It took a lot of hard work and determination to complete this task. Ruth gave up two summers and went to night school, even when the counselors told her it was not possible. What they didn't understand is you don't tell a young determined teenager she can't do something.

She then went straight to college again, even going in the summer. She has big dreams and we want to make sure she accomplishes everything she wants to do in life.  This summer we made her take a break. She has been non-stop since 16. At first, she was not happy about it but now she is enjoying her youth and her summer. Sleeping in, hanging out, and just being a teen.

So with all  this being said I would appreciate if the crafty world would join me and wish her a Happy 19th Birthday and if you submit a project via Linky we have several prizes lined up.  If I get more sponsors I will add them as I recieve confirmation.

Sponsors:

The Scrapbooking Queen
You can check out her awesome blog: http://www.thescrapbookingqueen.com/

Check out all of her items in her store here: http://royalcastleshoppe.bigcartel.com/
we are giving away

If you would like to mail my daughter Ruth the projects please feel free to do so, just email me at rosiemini@gmail.com  However, it's not necessary to win. What young girl does not like to receive birthday cards.

We also have a another giveaway once we reach 200, help us reach that goal so close but yet so far

5 wonderful prizes so far up for grabs :)
My daughter will pick her favorite projects we will post winners on  July 20th you will have two weeks to claim your prize.
